On weekends and holidays the Kalemegdan orchestra plays. The retired in their dancing mood: grandmas with a make-up and upright grandpas all hold their hands and dance to the music of the `boys` in the orchestra. The message the old age sends with its song, dance and socializing is: `We are not to be put on the back burner!' Sometimes when the crew joins Belgrade songwriter and bohemian Stole Piksi, the Kalemegdan concert lasts long into afternoon hours.
